Brief from client
I am a 2nd grade student of a media design training. We had to make a logo for ourselves as an assignment. I need some feedback so I can optimize my logo.
My previous logo was a little bit too complex to be readable so I made this one more simple.
I made 2 versions, the first one has my preference, I would like some feedback on both of the version, for example on the typography or colours etc.

Hello Ruben and how are you in Netherlands!? I'm a huge fan of your National Soccer Team since 1974 , back then when great Johan Cruyff was a conductor of that famous squad under Rinus Michels. I really like this version. Want to suggest a few things to you: keep RUBEN and LISMAN on one line, then tied together N and L to form a short symbol for Netherlands ( you could even add national flag colors to the two ). I think after that - you're done. Great work!
I totally agree with Shanuea. The composition is gimmicky and doesn't serve any purpose. Keep things simple.
