It's kind of an interesting experiment, but this feels really, really forced as a logo.

I personally really like the idea but that's pretty much it. The end result feels rushed and could seriously used some hours of work.

My immediate reaction was positive, but I agree with Shawali, I think it needs a bit of refinement. Perhaps a little less "beat you over the head with shoes" and try to find something more subtle to suggest shoes...or work with the negative space.
