D B Cummins

Brief from client

Our current logo needs updating.

Might look to get rid of the D B and change the name to just Cummins.

We are a demolition and groundworks company and our logo will need to work on lots of different coloured vehicles, social media, clothing etc.

So here's another idea I've been working on that includes a DBC monogram which I'm kind of digging.

Let me know what you think and if you think this one works better than version 1 or not.

Thank you!

Version 1. Without a doubt. This one looks like its trying way too hard to be a complicated sports monogram, and I'm getting tired of seeing those.

I have to disagree with ESY above. This one works much better, version 1 is too 70's for my taste, kind of retro without any cool. And I've seen the letters in perspective cube/building many times over. This version is better suited to work on all of the different media required. It is classic with out being stodgy, masculine but not "brotastic masculine" both of which suit the industry and it won't look dated in five years. Clean, well executed, will work in a variety of colors. The only thing I feel it's missing are periods in D.B.CUMMINGS.

Personally I don't mind the familiarity of the sports monogram look.

not a fan of version 2 sorry, i'm not liking the font, as for the symbol it looks like a symbol from a sports team, however in this case there's too many letter and i can't decipher much :S

Sorry Mat, this feels way too forced. I think that with a client like that, you could all the way neo-vintage Joe White-like. It should be right up your alley ;)This, not so much.
