Brief from client
The client had some logos drawn up by someone else that were actually quite good but felt they weren't wow enough and didnt protray the grandeur of the company nor it is have a family feel to them.
So i was asked to provide an alternative
So after doing some research, me and a sales guy drove to their huge house where they have a family crest above the garage door and thought it would be a great idea to incorporate this in to the logo as they are very family based. So here's what i came up with! I completely re-modernised their crest and went for a deep red and gold theme to help convey an upmarket feel, which they wanted.
Let me know your thoughts please!

Here's a photo of their crest for reference. Note that they have the 3 lions in the middle that represents the crest on the jersey flag, I simplified this to the actual jersey flag shape as there would have been way to much detail in there.
I think the color contrast is too stark. There is too much emphasis on the name. The balance just isn't there for me. I think this is workable, I would just work with the coloration and give more weight to the crest.
Thanks, I don't want the symbol to over power the name, I believe that first and foremost the name should be the first thing some one see's/reads in a logo
Damn, that is one eye candy!
My only beef is with the font. These hooks are kinda throwing me off. I think you can find a better fitting font.
Contrary to Cooperads, I like the stark contrast.
Great job, once more.
Thanks again! Yea I'm not sure about the font, I have done 2 other versions each with a different font that I think might be better
I like this- symbol and font! It doesn't seem off balance to me.However, I'm a little distracted by the lion's nubby arms! I like the style, but I really think they need paws! =)
good point Joy! thank you
