Brief from client
Dope N' Natural Pittsburgh is a natural hair meetup group for African American women in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. At these meetups women come together and share natural hair stories, tips on proper hair care, provides samples of hair products to try, etc. Usually vendors are present at these events selling homemade hair and body goods, organic products for hair and body, and jewelry. The logo will also be marketed on t shirts, which will be sold at these events. The client and originator of this group makes her line of jewelry and will be selling her own jewelry at these events as well.

Nah, not of a fan of this version. That maybe just me, but the N looks like the one from the Dunkin' Donuts logo.
The extended ascendant and descendant don't bring anything.
Aaah I do see Dunkin now. Ok. I'm just not satisfied with these fonts. :-( I honestly dont care for any of them. Not even version 4 font. I'm gonna keep searching.
If you're looking for cool fonts, check out www.losttype.com (really cool, professional and FREE typefaces, though we're starting to see them everywhere now)
Also www.fontsinuse.com You can't download fonts, but it shows great exemples of how cool types are used. You can look for them on the internet afterwards.
Having a look at www.typohile.com might help also.
Don't stop until you've found the right font!
Good luck!
Thank you! I've absolutely exhausted dafont, urbanfonts, & fontspace. I was wondering what other good sites were out there.
Ok, double platinium rule : forget dafont, urbanfonts and all this shit. You might find a right font for something very specific, but 98% of the typefaces they have are just fantasy crap that looks good on an invitation for a birthday party but certainly not on a professional logo.
Lol. That's probably the best advice I've heard all day. No really. Font choice is always the hardest part of design for me. I'm still learning! Do you buy font collections? If so, do you have any recommendations on good ones out there?
This has to be the narrowest comment box ever!!
I think that the symbol dont need the glasses , this can confuse. But the symbol is simple and fantastic i imagine this in a shirt and think that can function
idea: If this is a afroamerican brand, you can use a more hot font
I agree about a better font.
