Granite Doctor

Brief from client

So I did a Granite Guys logo a few months back, and the same guys are doing a spin-off business called Granite Doctor. Except this time, only the one guy is going it. They've specified they want black and red instead of black and blue (I would have chosen more medically driven colors)

I'm sorry Erin, but I'm really not digging this one. Overall, it's way too complicated, between the head, the super tricked out stethoscope, the sinusoid thingy... Too much going on.

And one thing that confuses is that I don't see the connection between the two businesses. Is the new one really related to the medical field? Or does it has something to do with guys making stuff up with granite? I'm really not sure what's going on here ;)

Could you give us some more background information? It's hard to fathom what you are trying to achieve here. I actually like the first logo better. I guess simplifying to the logo would help out here. I kinda see what you are trying to do but for me it is not working either. I have to agree with Shawali here.

Eh I see where yall are coming from, I've decided to just use the old logo, change the word "Guys" to "doctor", and the tagling to "restore, repair, rejuvinate"

The new business is takin broken granite and fixing it, their schtick is "healing granite, aka granite doctor".

I think this version does a good job of representing as well as explaining what they do. If this is just one business, then this gets my vote.
I will say I think the lettering for Restore. Repair..... is a little too tight. Maybe track that out just a little, for legibility sake.
