alternate color suggestions needed.
This is definitely an improvement.
For color inspiration, try kuler.adobe.com
The top piece is too small, maybe you should just lose it. (unless it's supposed to be the lid of a jar, or something)
The bottom piece could also suggests a human head, that's good. You could try making that suggestion stronger (without degrading the jigsawpuzzle shape!)
There's too much color switching in the subtext.
I'm afraid I'm too distracted by the colors and the typography to focus much on the symbol- but I agree that the tiny little green chunk at the top doesn't need to be there... unless it does!?
The colors are really bad- but I see that you're asking for suggestions for- and honestly anything less bright is going to be better. These are hurting my eyeballs! Even just a darker blue and a darker/less painful green!?
But the typography is a major issue here. I don't like the font (it's so plain and generic looking), it's really oddly spaced both horizontally AND vertically- there should be less space side to side and more space up and down. Everything is too close to the line that you have dividing the two lines of text. Once everything is kerned nicely, that line might not even need to be there. Also, if you pick an altogether different font this issue might present itself far more clearly or get a little better on it's own!?
The top piece represents the lid of the jar so it needs to be there. thanks for the comments btw
If the company can be pronounced "Jar", instead of "jay ay arr", then please get rid of those dots. Only keep the dots if it's important for your client.
Oh, and here's an example of what I meant with the human shape. Also, if you just round the bottom corners and keep the top ones straight, it still looks like a jar, and you don't need that 3rd lid.
My problem with this you mentioned in the brief 'they offer tailor made solution specific to each client'. A puzzle is consistent and the same every time you make it - so this doesn't relate very well to the brief. Think you need a rethink on this one try sketching out ideas based around being unique.
