Brief from client
Hey guys.
I'm actually working on the re-branding of a restaurant in Paris.
really like this! much prefer it to the other version.. The only thing im not so sure about is the symbol.. is this a character of the person who owns the shop?
The brief part of this post has for some reason reverted to the one of the first version. I was originally stating that I used another logo as a basis for this one. In total full disclosure, here's the logo in question.
Right now I'm having a major doubt, is my logo way too close from this one? I tried to alter the characters so it doesn't too much alike, but I'm really not sure. A total mind fuck, if you will =)
The Lucy's logo looks loosely based on Lobster, but highly modified.
So what I can't really wrap my head around, is it still in "inspired by" territory or is full on in plagiarized mode? =)
Dish some truth here, it's this kind of situation when you can't take a few step back to look at your own stuff =)
Yeah, sorry, it does look too close. The L and the S are really similar, and coupling that with the incline, I would say Lucy wouldn't be very happy to see that. :(
When I scrolled through quick I thought that Loumi had a wife that needed a matching logo!
I think the lucy logo is a great place to draw inspiration from, Maybe have a look at the way other people have formed there L's. Make a few dozen variations and find a unique shape for this letter. Everything else looks good, just a bit of a close match.

The baseline translates in English as something like "you have good taste".
Fonts used : Metroscript, Weston and Elephant.

Yes, it's Loumi himself the owner, I should have mentioned it.
And it's not really a symbol as much as kind of seal. It's supposed to be independent from the logo itself.
Thanks!

I guess I'll have work a few more dozen hours on it =)

Really nice idea, my favourite so far. Not too keen on the icon though, does need a bit of simplifying to tie together.
Lovely! Loved this one.
