Brief from client
Photography company focused on sports, fit models and athletes. Client wanted to incorporate royal purple if possible and requested not to use the stereo typical lens icons and find a creative way to incorporate photography and sports. He did not want any tagline such as photography or photo studio attached to the logo design.

Good move on avoiding the ubiquitous aperture symbol that a lot of designers fell obligated to use when they do a photography-related logo.
The hand thing you chose is a good idea. That being said, your logo is globally way too complicated, especially the symbol. Do you really need that boxer figure for another reason than the client loves boxing? If it's just that, it's not really a valid reason to put it in there. You need to come up with a solution that client needs rather than something he likes. Moreover, this boxer symbol looks way too much like a clip art you picked up on some sites. Am I wrong?
The fonts aren't great either. And beyond that, they don't really compliment each other.
Same goes with the colors. They're rather dull. Try to stick to 2 shades tops.
you're trying to do to much in one logo. it's also very disjointed.
