The biggest question for me is the choice of italics, which suggests a very avant-garde, creative company (maybe appropriate for your business of assisting entrepreneurs and start-ups). If you want to emphasize solidity and the ability to bring business experience and wisdom to start-ups, you might consider not using italics. The revised placement of the pi symbol at the end works nicely with the italics and gives a sense of flow.
The balloon for the pi symbol strikes me as slightly off. You might want to play around with its location and see if it works better a bit smaller - there seems to be a lot of orange space to the right of the symbol.
I'm not personally a fan of orange, but if you like it and it works well with the color scheme of your website it's not a problem. I preferred the dark gray color type (but not the typeface) in the prior version, though I'm not sure how well it would go with the orange balloon.
I think the concept is great and the revised logo is not bad. You might try a revised version of the original in a nicer typeface and with the tag line moved to the right a bit.
I think you definitely got more flair out of the Pi symbol on this go-round. I think the type face could still be played with some more but I still think it's an improvement. I'm also liking the Pi bubble being placed to the right as it does imply more forward movement.
There´s something about the slogan that bothers me, I´m no really sure what it is, but i think If you experiment a little bit more you´ll fin something that you like better since you say you do no t buy it completely. Nrvertheless it has evolve nicely without losing the main concept
