Somewhat, I'm up for suggestions on variations. I'll experiment with them more. I tried using 3 typefaces and someone said it was a bit too crowded. So should I stick to two and experiment with the font that's used for "Brendan, Graphic Artist, and Illustrator?"
The curves of "graphic artist" and "illustrator" don't quite match the curves of the banners. And in some of the variations, they're not centered either. Pay attention to the details :)
yea this is much better looking! try www.losttype.com to download some nice free fonts.. i think some on there may look better than the ones you have used currently. It will ask you for a donation, if your feeling generous you can give a donation but if not just put in 0 and you can download it for free :D
Think you should stay at the first character type logic even for Brendan even for the both banner text. Is good not to play with more then 2 type of character
Here's the most updated version. I'll definitely donate to this site next paycheck I receive. Also, if this still isn't a home run in design that makes you say "damn I want to hire guy" let me know. I want to make sure it's something to remember.
Sorry to say, but you should try to use fonts with purpose and reason. My site YeOldeStudio was created to serve the current trend of the old vintage world of design work. I bought the domain name specifically not too long ago. I
Using your name can be a great bonus, theres no way I would find my own domain name JoeWhite.co.uk - lots of other Joe Whites in the media industry already. So you should style your logo to suit your name and style.
You should really take a look at all the inspiration google has to offer and just spend a while filling your head up with creative ideas. Its good to be current, but its better to try to find the next new trend and aim towards that direction.
The "graphic artist" and "illustrator" still look off center and still don't match the curves of the banners. Attention to small details like this will go a long way.
I don't know about this whole "vintage hipster" logo trend. I'm not sure you're pulling it off. You've got these vintage elements, but then the fonts don't match. I think you just need to do some more research and you'll get there.
I can't seem to accomplish what I've intended for this design. Therefore, I'm going to take a bit of break and do the research (as suggested) so I can better understand the method behind creating a logo like this.
I think you have come along way from the beginning of this logo! That is for sure, I like the reversed style. They do make sense about the banner and the type in the banner. Sounds smart to take a quick break from it. Im sure when you come back you will knock it out ;)
Can't wait to see the next version.
Based off your journey and progress, I can tell you have a lot more in you. Do your homework. Truly sit down and ask yourself, who am I. Forget what design trends are out there and create something if you can't find the language/style you want.
Some things to really watch out for:
• Match your curves. use concentric circles! This refers to your use of the banner and its relating to your text. ALSO, the thing that is really making me grind my teeth is the banner flaps are straight instead of following the same arch as the banner itself. This gives the illusion that your name is not enclosed in a circle, but something else. If its a circle, it need to be perfect.
• information overload. i don't think you need 2 titles in your logo. If you have to have it, then choose the one that best describes you
•little details (this can't be stressed enough... seriously... pixel level)

Much nicer this way round, have you looked into various idea on the banners?
I also think it would be better to explore lots of typefaces to find what else works.

Nice. Sounds like a alcoholic drink label not as a creative agency but nice. The illustrator text its steel big and it damage.
