Remove the gradients, that's the standard recommendation.

Looks like the chef is asleep. I don't understand the position of the hands, then it looks like he's being chocked by the "m" and the "D". Or is it the sign of love?

The chef needs some room to breathe. And probably some eyes.. he just looks a little off and unfriendly. His hands look backwards or something, I'm not sure you really need them. They aren't doing anything and take away from the design as it is now.

There are a lot of effects on this. Strip it down. Once you have a logo that works on it's own without relying on web 2.0 treatments, you know it is successful.

If it's appropriate for the application you can add effects later.

the chef is too common make a unique one.agree with the above comment.too much contour you have stroke their make it simple.
