Reworking this for Logoground. I was informed that it was hard to tell that the logo was supposed to be a snake. One suggestion was to add a tongue (But as Felix so lovingly mentioned on the old version, it created a posterior). I've instead tried creating a ridge at the top, and having a green pallet to help insinuate a reptile. The moon aspect is all but gone, but this seems to be more in the direction of actually getting my logo on their site.
I'll likely do some more tweaking at least. there's still a lot of crushing going on, especially with the snout and in the silver space between the snake and circle. Need to edit to let the snake shape breath a bit more.
(Based on the logos already on Logoground, the admins seem pretty OK with gradient use and graphics that don't necessarily translate to single color. Although I'm trying to use them sparingly)

I like where this is going. It's very dark, though.
I think you need to get rid of that murky green. A simple black logo on a white background would look nice.
as for the symbol, I would give the stroke of the line under the eyes the same thickness than the circle. I would spend a bit more time refining the curvature of both ends.
I'm sorry but I don't see a snake in either version. I see a badger or other such animal. What is moon snake? Are you trying to put a snake inside a moon?
The green is too dark and uninviting to the viewer.
I suppose the type is just placeholder but the font is not working. It's best to go with something timeless when creating a logo for sale. Not something that dies when the trend dies.
If you do need to incorporate the moon you will want some space behind the snake to show faint craters perhaps. I'm a bit confused a
I think you have an idea to go with but need to nail down that snake, pick something, a Cobra, (which is the best known snake that has a hood that it looks like you are trying to represent. IDK) A rattlesnake, a pit viper, they all have distinct features.
I uploaded a simple snake I just grabbed off a web search. It looks more the direction you need and you could make your own simplified version

I prefer your previous version- it was clean and simple and yet pretty striking! (pun intended) This one went dark and kind of lost the simplicity. The dip above the head makes it look like elephant ears instead of a snakes um- hood??? Whatever that is called. And it also killed the 1/2 moon aspect.
Also- not a fan of that font, even just as a place holder. Doesn't compliment your symbol enough.
I spent a couple hours redrawing the logo so that it looked like an actual cobra. The original design had gotten several comments on here and Groundlogo that you couldn't tell it was so snake.

Definitely getting Cobra from that. Perhaps the split tongue may do you some additional justice? Your call.
