Brief from client
This is my own personal logo - i designed this to get my company up and running. Possibly in future, i'd like to change the name and obviously new logo but i am still in the idea stage on that.
Agree with luenib, ornaments are pretty generic and do not work with this thick sans serif at all.
Not sure I understand the idea either, there are some weeds coming out of letters and when they exit letters they change color to letter color. What is this?
design is universal. if this is a logo for a design firm then its surely not there. It should connote that its design nothing else. The ornamental form depicts very specific things, not really design thing. Ornamental is feminine too. If you are using letter NJ then club them to stand on its own with a hint of design. It should be more creative. May be think on what does design stand for? what does it symbolize? you will get it i am sure ;)
as i said previous that this was just a quick idea to get my business started so i will eventually change name and with that a new logo...thanks for the comments on this as i like to see what i can change and develop into the perfect solution. possibly my next version might be some logos with new company name...still thinking of that. :/
If this is the one you like, and this is after all YOUR logo, then I would suggest perhaps finding a vine to connect the two. I personally like my vines with continuation. Even if they are missing/blank in spots..the other end should flow...so they feel connected.

I think it works. Really like this blue color that you use. Good job
I don't like the idea of changing colors in the ornaments when they touch negative space.
You are mixing fat fonts with thin ornaments. The ornaments look elegant not so the fonts.
Reduce the logo to a 75% and the ornaments on the "n" will disappear. Same fate for "GRAPHIC DESIGN"

Too fancy and not appealing. Simplify. Modernise.
