Brief from client
Velvet Monday is a worldwide recruitment firm with a focus on mobile product management positions. Their target audience is mobile product managers ages 30 to 45 years.

I've received some interesting feedback from you guys. This time I've made some differences in color-usage and typeface for name of the company.
I've chosen a very dark soft blue to express calmness and trust. For the V I've chosen a bright green to express growth and to juice up the freshness of the logo. It also pulls the attention to the first letter of the name of the company.
So tell me guys, what do you think of this logo? What do you like and what don't you like?
Thanks!

This type of execution for " V M " has been done before - so, there is no ground breaking in here or something new for that matter. I would suggest to bend vertical bars of " M " parallel to " V ", but not loose the readability of it. For example in my city of Phoenix , Arizona - a local bus transit has " V M " done the same exact way as yours with the exception of a color scheme. Our local bus transit system goes by the name of " Valley Metro ". I would love to see your logo being done more uniquely and doesn't repeat the previous ones that has been done. Love your choice of colors. Good luck!
For Reference:
Whoever told you to change the typeface to a more "classic" font steered you wrong here, I think. I would also advise against any sort of neon colors. If you want a nice color to greatly contrast dark blue, why not orange? It's complimentary, yet I feel it's one of the best complimentary color combinations.
And yeah, maybe you could experiment with other VM designs as well.
I feel version 4 is closer to being done than this.
I think version 4 had a better font. It felt more modern and restauranty.
I agree, that would be too much neon. Remember, they will use their colours in everything. Ads, menus, possibly painted walls. That would be too much neon. A toned down lime / apple green would go with that blue though.
I played around with some letter placement for 5 minutes, because why not. Not sure if I would recommend any of these, but I might as well attach them!
Good luck!
Weejee, you have done well at this point. All you need to do is to rely on your spirits and not dwell too much on what has been said by others. My only knit picking is to somehow create that velvetish feeling in your logo, as of right now all these sharp edges prevent that from happening. Your choice of a font point in that direction - but you're not done, by any means. I hope that you're not?
Poor Weejee, he must feels pretty confused with all these different comments =)
Here are my two cents: I'm sold on the colors and font. I disagree with Killswitch on this one. This serif font gives your logo some much-needed personality.
Now, this symbol still bugs me. It feels too simplistic to me. Not to be confused with simple.
Keep it up.
PS: don't forget to switch your jpeg to RGB. This acid green is burning me eyes real bad =)
Weejee, here is another version that I come up with. Hope that it will inspire you.
Dang!
That is the nicest thing I have ever seen you post BOPOTA. Nice job.
