Imperfect Ghost

Brief from client
Logo for a potential game production company. Something using ghosts and good and evil. Representing on not only our good games but also our clever and sometimes crafty ways in terms of creating games.

still look too much illustrative, and missing elements are making it worse. Hand were ok in my opinin. An element in itself is not good or bad, the way is done make is it good or bad for the logo. I'd say put back hands.
Much better fonts, but I agree with hueroth
I think some work still needs to be done here, (it's a REALLY tall logo, which always causes me concern) but this is a lot better than the first one. I would still suggest maybe trying to see what it looks like with the shadow bent up behind him (like implying that there's a wall behind him that the shadow is going up on, if that makes sense) which will make it not so tall.
I like this font much better than the last versions!
I actually like it better without the hands, it's a cleaner edge but still makes the same point! I look forward to seeing more versions if you upload them!
I much prefer the type in this logo, but yes it is too tall! i think i prefer the hands on the ghost. I dont think you need the shadow, just the ghost on its own, maybe put a devils tail out of the back of it to represent the evil part or a fork in its hand (when you put the hand on) then it wont be as tall aswell
Thanks for the input guys, I will play around and see what works.
Don't you want to play with proportions?
The name is as good as the on going symbol, so i feel the name is almost lost right now. Make it bigger and your illustration will gain its correct place into the logo.
Be careful. If you increase the size of the name, try to do it with a plain typography (not so detailed one), so your illustration can keep the place of the spotlight, and a nice balance between details and structures could be achieved.
Also, right behind the eye there's a break in the line that defines the body. It would be appreciated if you can to stylize that node, this simple move will bring a more professional result, i think (just for obsessive eyes, so, you can say "go to hell" too, jajaja).
I rather choose to put aside some projects for a couple of days whenever is possible to look back at them with a fresher mind. It's easier that way to find out what's wrong, or at least, what is going on with them.
Keep up your efforts, this one is going somewhere.
