MrMorph

Brief from client

Mr Morph is a place where people can take part in the design and printing process of products. From homeware to fashion accessories, we currently offer a range of 10 carefully selected designer's products that can be transformed by you and adapted to your requirements through a very simple computer tool that you can use for free. Just come in, sit down and start browsing through our catalogue. Then, pick a product that you like and start changing the shape, the texture and the colour. Once you’re happy with the results, see it come to life in our 3D print Lab. This is a continuation from People's Atelier: http://www.brandsoftheworld.com/critique/peoples-atelier-ltd-3

I'd say that the symbol is an improvement - it puts your typeface (which I've already explained my objection to) to good use, helping to justify its use.

The emblem's negative intersection space is maybe the weak point. It makes the logo interesting, so is useful, but goes slightly odd at small sizes and is more 'slice' than 'morph'.

I maintain that the font isn't helping. Personally, I'd use Clarendon (although I do that quite often).

(I hope there was something constructive in there.)

With a name like "Mr Morph" I really would like to see a character driven logo. Maybe a little blob with a top hat or something, something fun, or at least something with a bit of character. This seems a bit too sci-fi due to the font choice, very cold I think. I don't think the logo up top really adds anything personally.

I agree with "thecuraga". The logo is too cold.

Man ...I really don't know, this logo doesn't tell me anything, if it would be on a banner on a street most probably i wouldn't notice it. Is not like i like it or not...is very easy to pass without seen it, just doesn't have a catchy something in there....sorry to say it that way but this is what i feel

I think Dtld is spot on about the font, and thecuraga had a great idea to play around with the fact that your logo has 'mr.' in it! It also has the word 'morph' - and both of those seem like things that you could really have fun with!

But I think you should at least try one new logo that doesn't involve this font at all. It really is something that I would probably just pass right on by if I saw it- it's not exactly eye catching.

I am not a fan of the symbol on top of the text at all, maybe if you can come up with something fresher, yea... as is noooo...

Ok, the symbol shows a little like morphing - or rather "copying" - but my feeling is, you have to try to express more the transformation you talk about in the brief - and in the name itself. Maybe you can achieve this with a color gradient or so... I can see its not easy. Usually morphing can only be expressed in a movie - Maybe just take a break of one day - this sometimes helps me to get new ideas.
