Arthur Mani ltd.
Brief from client
Arthur Mani Architects (AMA or Arthur Mani ltd.) is a young Architectural practice based in London and Paris. AMA's Architecture is "network-driven" meaning it is collaborative and linked to environmental, structural and cultural constraints. AMA's design process is fully focused on the client's desires and is driven by computational design tools as well as a multi-disciplinary approach to Architecture. Our aim is to create spaces that are playful, sensitive and unexpected.
AMA's logo should give a sense of the practice's networked, collaborative, playful and computational approach to Architecture. Inspiration could come from tube maps, Alexander Calder's mobiles, road networks, trees, leaves, corals, clouds, bird swarms. It should be as striking, simple and elegant as Louis Vuitton and Yves Saint-Laurent. It could be colourful if done subtilely (possibly through gradients).

Hi Guys,
Sorry to re-open this thread. After running this company for a little while now I realize that it might be better to use my full name instead of changing it. I initially removed the MAMOU as the MANI makes it easier for english people to spell. My friends think that the full name is more distinctive and that a name is just sacred and should not be changed. Frank Gehry (real name Goldberg) said one of his greatest regrets was to have changed his name.
Please tell me your honest opinion, what's better?
Many thanks,
Arthur

Well is a pleasure to comment this logo, even if it has 8 versions. To be honest black is better for me, saturated black on the symbol and "arthur-mani" and on the second row "architects" with the same grey you are using here. The symbol is fine but the one in the version seven look lighter and would go with that. Good job and good luck.
Stay with version 7 ;)
No, ....we all just got used to Arthur - the well known architect with the nice logo! The new one almost starts looking like Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart - (if you turn it sideways..i mean...)
Quoted by Carl Godson yesterday: http://www.crowdspring.com/help/faq/overused-overdone-logo-design-concepts/.
Thanks Dltd, I think that's kind of tough because he is including a lot of generic shapes there! I think it's more a way to avoid designers posting the same concepts to every offers. I am very curious if there is an artcile that does the opposite, showing possible original paths for logos instead.
... but do, whatever you do, use your real name.
